Born from a simple desire
to be able to centrally control the shutdown and wakeup of computers on the
network, this has now evolved in to a much bigger part of the Manager. The old functionality is
still there, you can schedule your machine shutdown and wakeups based on OU
location with options for notifying the user or forcing log off, but many new
features have been added:
- Schedule unattending rebuilding of single or multiple computers, even to a different operating system
- Set shortcut, package, printer and wallpaper assignments to happen at a schedule time
- Bulk enable or disable multiple user accounts automatically - Create your new staff accounts early and schedule them to be enabled
- Wake on LAN machines for the start of the day, or during holidays to apply bulk system updates
- You can also manually run tasks as required
